The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has resolved intermittent technical challenges that affected some tax payment transactions processed through the Ghana.gov payment platform.
The disruption, which started on Friday, August 14, 2026, affected selected payments initiated through the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) and Ghana Integrated Tax Management and Information System (GITMIS).
Payment processing affected
The GRA said the technical difficulties were limited to payment processing and did not affect taxpayers’ ability to file their tax returns.
Although the Ghana.gov payment platform remained operational during the disruption, some transactions experienced delays, while certain payments did not immediately appear on taxpayers’ respective online portals.
The Authority said it worked with its technical partners to address the problem, treating the matter as a priority.
Outstanding payments to be reflected
The GRA assured taxpayers that outstanding transactions affected by the technical difficulties would be processed and reflected on the relevant taxpayer portals following the normalisation of the system.
The Authority also reassured taxpayers, importers, clearing agents and other stakeholders that measures had been taken to resolve affected transactions and minimise the possibility of further disruptions.
The GRA expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the technical challenges and thanked taxpayers and other stakeholders for their patience and understanding.
It said further updates would be provided where necessary.
