MobileMoney Fintech LTD (MMFL) will open MoMoFest 2026 in Berekum in the Bono Region on September 4, using music, culture, and community engagement to help customers “Do more with MoMo”—from everyday payments and transfers to savings, insurance, credit, and safer digital transactions.
The two-day Revival Concert, scheduled for September 4 and 5 at Golden City Park, will feature Kweku Smoke and friends and launch a three-week activation focused on MoMo App onboarding, cashless payments, merchant engagement, and fraud education.
The Berekum activation will combine pre-festival sign-up drives, festival-week customer experiences, and post-festival follow-up to move customers from basic awareness to confident use of the MoMo App and other digital financial services offered through platforms like MTN Ghana.
Driving digital adoption through community engagement
Over the years, MoMoFest 2026 has grown into a nationwide platform for digital inclusion, taking mobile money directly to customers through concerts, traditional festivals, tertiary activations, merchant engagements, and community touchpoints that make digital finance practical, visible, and relevant to everyday life.
Throughout the activation, customers and merchants will experience how mobile financial tools can simplify daily transactions, support small businesses, expand access to financial services, and make cashless payments more convenient.
Customer safety remains central to the experience, with structured education covering:
- Common fraud tactics and scam prevention
- Strict PIN protection and personal data security
- Real-time transaction verification techniques
- Official reporting channels for suspicious activities
This safety push reinforces MMFL’s core message that as customers expand their digital transactions, they must also remain protected.
Expanding the reach of MoMoFest 2026 across Ghana
Head of Marketing at MobileMoney Fintech LTD, Alfred Dowuona-Hammond, highlighted the strategic focus of the event:
“Our goal is simple: to help every customer do more with MoMo, and do it safely. MoMoFest gives us a direct and engaging way to show customers how MoMo can support everyday payments, business transactions, and access to more financial services, while helping them stay alert and protected.”
Following the Berekum opening, MoMoFest 2026 will extend its customer engagement through major music and cultural platforms, including the Asogli Festival, ShattaFest, Rapperholic, and Made in Tadi. These high-energy public events provide ongoing opportunities for app education, merchant onboarding, and safe-use conversations.
The 2026 edition is supported by key corporate partners, including Ecobank Ghana PLC, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL), Ayo Ghana, and MTN Business. Their collaborative effort helps bring the festival experience closer to communities across the country, turning entertainment, culture, and commerce into practical gateways for financial inclusion and trust.
